Your Opportunity

Dillon’s Community Design practice is seeking a Traffic Engineer / Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team. You will work on innovative projects, providing clients with a fully integrated, superior customer experience.

This position is available at any of our offices within Ontario.

Responsibilities
What Your Day Will Look Like
Technical Activities & Administration
  • Contribute to transportation/traffic planning and design projects, including traffic analysis, parking reviews, road safety audits, signage, pavement markings, neighborhood traffic management, and transportation demand management.
  • Support Dillon’s technical staff and project managers in project delivery for public and private clients.
  • Provide technical expertise as part of multidisciplinary teams, including planners, engineers, environmental scientists, and technologists.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients.

  • Commit to ongoing professional development.
  • Participate in professional associations and committees to enhance Dillon’s profile.
Qualifications
What You Will Need to Succeed
  • Degree in civil engineering or urban planning, or a diploma in civil engineering technology with a transportation focus.
  • Qualified or eligible to practice in Ontario as a Professional Engineer, Registered Professional Planner, or Certified Engineering Technologist within six months.
  • Strong report writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years' professional experience.
Experience

The ideal candidate will demonstrate interest and experience in areas such as transportation impact studies, parking studies, road safety, traffic calming, warrant analysis, traffic engineering software, active transportation, TDM programs, environmental assessments, and innovative transportation technologies.
