Job description

Your Opportunity:

In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place, with an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As a Cardiology Technologist I, you will prepare patients (clients, residents) for non-invasive cardiac testing to investigate cardiac abnormalities and function levels, including Holter Monitoring, Exercise Tolerance Testing, and Ambulatory Monitoring. You will explain procedures, educate patients on equipment function as needed, and collect patient histories for procedures, documenting information for physicians. You will analyze and summarize test results, generate reports for physician interpretation, and provide expertise in the setup, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment. You will also be responsible for implementing resuscitation measures when necessary. Additionally, you will precept and orient new staff and students, contribute to the evaluation of cardiology trainees and students, and serve as a clinical resource by providing information regarding cardiology technology to staff and patients.

- Active or eligible registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT)
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BCLS-HCP)

Additional Qualifications: As required.
Preferred Qualifications: Completion or ongoing work towards Cardiac Device Certification (BCIT program available).
