Job summary

Impala Canada Ltd. is seeking a Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic to support the Lac des Iles Mine in Northwestern Ontario.

You will maintain instrumentation, diagnose faults, and perform preventative maintenance on industrial equipment as part of a safety-focused maintenance team. Responsibilities include analyzing and testing instruments, repairing components, and ensuring all scheduled maintenance programs are in effect.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Instrument Mechanic with industrial equipment repair experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of PLC and/or DCS controls, and variable speed drives.
• A self-starter who performs duties in a safe and productive manner.
• Verbal and written proficiency of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all scheduled instrumentation maintenance programs are in effect.
• Analyze, inspect and test instruments to diagnose faults.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, repairing and adjusting system components and any other assigned tasks.
