Job summary

Impala Canada Ltd. is seeking a heavy equipment operator for the Lac des Iles Mine in Northwestern Ontario. The role involves operating haul trucks and water trucks, maintaining water lines and access roads, and adhering to strict safety standards.

Candidates must possess a Surface Miner Common Core and an MTCU haulage module, with English proficiency and a strong safety mindset. DZ license is a plus; location is on-site at the surface mine.

Qualifications

• Must have MTCU module for haulage truck.
• Experience with power tools, chainsaws, water pumps and gen-sets is asset.
• Proficiency in operation of various heavy equipment in a mine operations environment is asset.
• Verbal and written proficiency of the English language.
• DZ License is considered an asset; Class G at a minimum.

Responsibilities

• Operate production haul truck and water truck.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair water lines (including pit dewatering) and access roads.
• Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Maintain a safe work environment and follow company policies and legislative standards.
