Job summary

Impala Canada operates the Lac des Iles Mine (LDI) and seeks an experienced equipment operator to load, haul, and maintain roadways on site. The role requires proficient operation of haulage trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, and related heavy equipment, along with safe work practices and clear hazard reporting.

Candidates must have MTCU modules for bull dozer, hydraulic excavator, and haulage truck; English proficiency; and the ability to perform manual labor.

Qualifications

• Surface miner common core
• MTCU modules for bull dozer, hydraulic excavator and haulage truck
• Experience with power tools, chainsaws, water pumps and gen-sets is considered an asset
• Proficient in operation of heavy equipment in a mine operations environment
• Verbal and written proficiency of English
• Able to perform manual labor
• DZ License is considered an asset; Class G at minimum

Job Description:

Working knowledge and skills in equipment operation
Responsible for equipment operation, loading, hauling and maintaining roadways on the mine site
Must demonstrate proficiency operating haulage trucks, back hoes, graders, dozers, light vehicles, boom truck, sand truck, loaders and perform other duties as required and assigned by the Supervisor, such as water pumps and piping, snow removal and assisting site services as required.
Maintain a safe work environment
Follow company policies and legislative standards
Ability to effectively communicate any hazards or concerns to supervisor; 14x14; Crew 3
