Job summary

TFO Canada seeks a Program Support & Logistics Associate in Ottawa to join our international development team. The role combines virtual and on-site work at our downtown office and may involve travel within Canada.

You will assist Project Managers with organization, procurement, logistics and delivery of market assessments and trade missions. This is a 4-year term position with a competitive salary package.

Qualifications

• BA in International Development, International Trade, or related field; MA considered an asset.
• At least two years of work experience in an international development organization/non-profit organization/trade promotion organization.
• At least one year’s experience of working in developing countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean.
• Excellent computer applications skills, particularly Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel as well as Outlook.
• Excellent communication skills in English; well-organized and independent worker.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers with organization, procurement, logistics and delivery of market assessment, trade missions, partners' visits, and trade-related technical assistance and capacity-building projects/activities.
• Prepare travel advance requests and settlements, take quotations, and finalize service agreements as required.
• Help with the compilation of project reports including data collection and preliminary analysis.
• Support Project Managers with inquiries received from developing country exporters and trade support institutions.
• Coach volunteers and interns.
