Job summary

Magna International in Brampton is seeking a Toolmaker/Dimensional/Finisher to finish tooling for robotic/automated lines in the automotive industry. The role requires interpreting CMM reports and adjusting tooling for correct part fit and line integration.

Candidates should have a Tool & Die qualification with 5+ years in automotive tooling, strong GD&T and blueprint skills, and be able to travel nationally and internationally. Own tools and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Qualification as Tool & Die Maker or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in automotive tooling or assembly.
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications, and tolerances accurately.
• Knowledge of stamping and hemming preferred.
• Must travel nationally and internationally (passport).
• Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, build or modify tooling and fixtures for automated systems lines.
• Inspect, layout, debug, and measure equipment and parts for proper operation.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and test existing tools and fixtures as required.
• Analyze BIW measurement reports (CMM, etc.).
• Compose product re-work instructions and confirm results of changes.
• Provide guidance and training to Tool & Die Apprentices.
• Follow ISO SOPs to ensure world class quality products.
