Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Ontario is seeking a licensed Mouldmaker/Tool & Die Maker to join our tooling team. You will repair and maintain Injection, SMC, and RIM tools, perform preventative maintenance, and support production to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of toolmaking experience, CNC lathe/mill skills, SVG systems, core pulls, hot manifolds, and a strong safety mindset. English communication is essential; own tools and overtime willingness are required.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Mouldmaker/Tool & Die Maker.
• 5 years experience with large tools (Injection/RS moulding).
• Knowledge of SVG systems and related tooling components.
• CNC lathe and mill experience required.
• Own tools and safety conscious mindset.
• Good English communication skills (spoken/written).

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Injection, SMC and RIM tools and perform changes.
• Perform preventative maintenance to keep moulds in good condition.
• Coordinate with production to remove faulty tools from machines if needed.
• Complete engineering changes when required.
• Minimise downtime and support production on tooling issues.
• Liaise with maintenance and production for tooling availability.
• Overtime may be required.
• Contribute to monthly CI improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
