Job summary

Magna is hiring a Tool & Die Maker for Karmax Heavy Stamping Die operations in Canada. Role requires 5+ years post-apprenticeship, design review, and strong CAD/GD&T skills. Travel internationally for project support and tool delivery is expected.

You'll ensure tool shop timelines, assist in quotes, and drive continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Tool and Die Maker with 5+ years’ experience post-apprenticeship.
• 5+ years in Project Management or leadership ensuring on-time tool/die delivery.
• Ability to read customer drawings and GD&T using CAD.
• Proficient with measurement tools in automotive stamping.
• Willingness to travel internationally for projects.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CAD systems.

Responsibilities

• Support quotes with feasibility, costing, and stamping considerations.
• Assist Program Managers by quoting, assessing, and coordinating changes.
• Perform tool shop visits to ensure timely tool/die delivery.
• Conduct die design reviews adhering to Karmax standards.
• Ensure updated tool shop timelines for sample parts and tooling.
• Coordinate tool tryouts in Karmax presses for pre-production.
• Support material usage and CI/CR activities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with Ontario laws and company policies.
• Work within Karmax Associate Handbook guidelines.
• Accept other duties as required; operate in varied locations.
