Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking an experienced Tool Maker for our automotive stamping and progressive-die operations in Markham, Ontario. You must have 4–5 years of hands-on experience with progressive dies, die repair, and tooling maintenance, with a strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read engineering drawings.

Candidates should have or be pursuing an Ontario 430A or Red Seal; automotive metal stamping experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of Tool Maker or Tool and Die experience in automotive manufacturing are mandatory.
• Hands‑on experience with progressive dies, die repair, and tooling maintenance.
• Reading engineering drawings and understanding GD&T.
• Ontario Tool and Die Maker Certificate (430A) or Red Seal preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automotive production dies and progressive dies.
• Fit, assemble, adjust, and test tooling to minimize production downtime.
• Read engineering drawings and inspect tooling dimensions, clearances, and alignment.
• Support die setups, production tryouts, and tooling modifications.
• Operate toolroom machinery and hand tools safely.
• Maintain tooling records and follow quality, 5S, and workplace safety procedures.

Pay: $28–$40/hour, depending on experience
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts: Day: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM or Afternoon: 3:30 PM–11:00 PM

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tool Maker with 4–5 years of hands‑on experience in the automotive manufacturing industry. The successful candidate must have practical experience in progressive dies, production die repair, and tooling maintenance. Automotive metal stamping experience is strongly preferred. Automotive industry experience is mandatory. Candidates with experience exclusively in non-automotive industries will not be considered.
