Job summary

Magna Mechatronics, Mirrors & Lighting is seeking an Apprentice Tooling Technician to support die and fixture work in our Ontario facility. You will complete an Apprenticeship Training Standard and learn to fabricate, repair, and troubleshoot dies and fixtures in alignment with production schedules.

You'll operate under supervision, maintain 5S standards, and contribute to safe, quality stamping operations. High school diploma required with minimal related experience; crane license preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than 1 year of related work experience.
• Valid crane license preferred.
• Read and understand blue prints and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Completes Apprenticeship Training Standard book as provided by the Ontario College of Trades.
• Maintain progressive or fine blank dies, jigs and fixtures to support production stamping schedules.
• Fabricate dies, die sections, fixtures and related components within set timeframes.
• Troubleshoot and repair dies and fixtures in Tool Room and Press to meet production deadlines.
• Report problems that may affect on-time completion of work.
• Maintain 5S and safety standards in the work area as directed by Supervisory staff.
