Job summary

Jobtailor in Edmonton is seeking a detail-oriented Course Scheduling Analyst to support academic leaders with timetable decisions across faculties. You will gather data from teaching areas, manage the Course Master Timetable, and maintain term-by-term schedules for all programs to maximize teaching efficiency and minimize conflicts.

Proficiency in Campus Solutions, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office is essential, with strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree required.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with internal/external clients and stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as a trusted team member.
• Advanced knowledge of Google Suite, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of University policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills with multitasking ability.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Two years’ experience in a related role.
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and competing demands.
• Knowledge of admissions process, academic program requirements and calendar changes.

Responsibilities

• Gathers data and information from all teaching areas to advise academic leaders and inform timetable decisions.
• Manages the development of a Course Master Timetable to maximize teaching efficiency and minimize course conflicts.
• Maintains term-by-term schedules for each program to ensure conflict-free timetables and optimized resource use.
• Understands Campus Solutions to troubleshoot errors and collaborates with the Exams & Timetabling Centre of Expertise as needed.
• Monitors enrollment pressures to advise on timetable changes during the registration cycle.
• Acts as the first point of contact for all course scheduling and timetabling matters.
• Responds to inquiries from faculty and academic leaders, providing information on class scheduling and timetabling for the college.
