Job summary

City of Saskatoon seeks an organized Scheduler/Timekeeper to prepare detailed bus operator schedules and ensure service coverage meets requirements. You will manage timekeeping for payroll, prepare next-day rosters, monitor radio communications, and assist operators as needed.

The role requires Grade 12 and three years of transit-related experience, with comfort using word processing and spreadsheet software. A collaborative, accurate, and proactive approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education.
  • Three years transit related experience; office environment an asset.
  • Knowledge of time keeping, transit routes, and collective agreement.
  • Ability to make decisions within established parameters.
  • Ability to plan, organize and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations rapidly and accurately.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Knowledge of office equipment including word processing and spreadsheet software.

This position is a ATU 615 position and will be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Should it not be filled in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, external candidates will be considered.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Service Supervisor, this position prepares detailed schedules for bus operators to ensure adequate staffing to meet service requirements efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Summarizes operators’ time worked for payroll processing.
  • Prepares operators’ work schedules for the following day’s service.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Weekly Hours:40

Salary Range:$31.02to$31.82CADper hour(2026rates)
