Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a capable operations assistant to supervise multiple food service units, including Tim Hortons, under the guidance of the Food Service Managers and Executive Chef. You will oversee menu item production, cash readings, staff scheduling, and training while helping resolve labour relations and tracking weekly inventories, sales revenue, and costs.

  • Learn from and assist the Food Service Managers to resolve labour relation issues, track and produce reports on weekly inventories, sales revenue, labour and food cost.
  • Coordinate frequent workplace inspections and WHMIS training of all staff and promptly report any workplace accident or incident to head office.

Job description

  • Learn from and assist the Food Service Managers to resolve labour relation issues, track and produce reports on weekly inventories, sales revenue, labour and food cost.
  • Communicate positively and enthusiastically to the café patrons and address their issues promptly.
  • Complete weekly audit checklist on Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Financial Controls.
  • Complete weekly external brand audit, identify corrective action and follow up.
  • Monthly Action planning to achieve revenue targets, speed of service and budget compliance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Compass’ Quality Assurance and Health and Safety Program, Occupational Health and Safety Act and WHMIS regulations.
  • Coordinate frequent workplace inspections and WHMIS training of all staff and promptly report any workplace accident or incident to head office.
  • Ensure Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards are followed in the food preparation process.
