Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a capable supervisor for our Niagara region operations. The role focuses on leading shifts, coaching staff, and ensuring food safety and quality across service lines.

You will partner with management to train staff, manage schedules, and maintain high guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include inventory control, adherence to cash handling and safety policies, daily reporting, and fostering a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurant.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Food Safety Certification (preferred or required).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate team members during shifts.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and ongoing feedback.
  • Train staff on job duties, food safety, and company procedures.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
  • Ensure all products meet quality and presentation standards.
  • Maintain proper stock levels and assist with inventory control.
  • Follow and enforce company policies (cash handling, food safety, scheduling).
  • Complete daily reports, waste logs, and shift documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Deliver and model exceptional guest experience.
  • Handle customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a friendly, fast-paced service environment.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
  • Report hazards, incidents, or equipment issues immediately.
