Job summary

The Salvation Army in Canada is seeking a Store Associate at the View Royal Thrift Store in British Columbia to support the Store Manager and ensure smooth daily operations and customer service in a busy thrift environment.

Ideal candidates will have two years of store experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds while handling cash and inventory tasks. This is a permanent full-time position with accommodation available upon request.

Qualifications

• Two years of store or warehouse experience.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers/donors in a positive, friendly, and courteous manner.
• Protect the integrity of all donated items.
• Responsible for accurate completion of all customer transactions including cash and debit sales.
• Contribute to meeting store budgets by maintaining customer service standards.
• Opening and closing of store following store procedures when required.
• Process raw materials by loading/unloading, sorting, packing, pricing and storing donations.
• Assist with inventory reconciliation (cycle counting).
• Provide excellent service to guests and donors.
