Job description

Cineplex Theatre Managers are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional experience to each guest. Theatre Managers work to ensure that company policies, procedures, and standards are followed across the venue. Maintaining a clear business vision and cultivating positive morale are essential to this role.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  1. Ensuring the seamless operation of all food and beverage, guest service, and retail operations within the venue.
  2. Maintaining facility standards and ensuring all checklists and inspections are up to date according to internal and external requirements.
  3. Executing group events within the venue.
  4. Recruiting, interviewing, training, and coaching venue management, and planning for succession.
  5. Applying fair and equitable discipline in accordance with company policies, and managing performance and behavioral issues.
  6. Managing the theatre budget, growing revenue, and initiating projects to enhance Cineplex's reputation as Canada's premier film exhibition company.

Qualifications:

  1. You have experience in a similar environment.
  2. You can analyze customer needs and offer appropriate solutions.
  3. You have demonstrated leadership during high-volume periods across multiple departments.
  4. You can prioritize and manage multiple activities, develop employees, and meet financial targets.
  5. You possess strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
  6. You are comfortable building relationships with corporate departments, partners, employees, and guests.
  7. You are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. You have flexible scheduling to work extended hours as required.
