Job description

Our client, a world-class developer of state-of-the-art laboratory equipment, is seeking a Test Development Technician to join its team in Concord on a long-term contract basis.

Responsibilities:

Working with the Test Development Engineering group in an R&D environment, the candidate will be responsible for developing, assembling, and commissioning test fixtures for testing PCBAs, including:

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly work on fixtures, including soldering, PCBA rework, and integration of parts, equipment, and instruments with mechanical housings.
• Generate purchase requisitions to procure parts.
• Perform testing on PCBA modules using the test fixtures.
• Generate test reports.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technician Diploma.
• 5+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly and testing in engineering and/or manufacturing environments for electronics.
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings, procedures, and CAD drawings.
• Use of CAD software (e.g., PCB design, schematic capture, LabVIEW) is an asset.
• Experience with problem solving and root cause analysis methodologies is an asset.
