Job Title:
Engineering Test Technician

Our Client:

Electronics manufacturer based in Markham, Ontario, Canada.

Principal Tasks and Responsibilities:

1. Set up and validate test stations, fixtures, and software for electronics products and PCB assemblies.
2. Perform test execution, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on electronic systems.
3. Support updates to test scripts, procedures, and fixtures during engineering changes.
4. Train and mentor technicians and operators on test processes.
5. Assist in data collection, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Maintain test equipment through calibration and preventative maintenance.
7. Coordinate with engineering to support new product introductions and test optimization.

Qualifications and Prerequisites:

1. Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
2. 5+ years of experience in test engineering or electronic troubleshooting.
3. Experience with test automation tools (e.g., LabVIEW, TestStand, Python).
4. Hands-on knowledge of diagnostics, schematic review, and functional testing.
5. Experience in a high-mix, low-volume, or contract manufacturing environment is a plus.
6. Familiarity with ISO 9001 environments and Manufacturing Execution Systems is preferred.
