Job summary

StandardAero in Winnipeg is seeking a Mechanic - Test Cell to overhaul gas turbine engines and support inspection, disassembly, and documentation processes. The role requires coordination with maintenance teams and adherence to aviation standards for safety and quality.

You will read manuals and perform pre-test inspections, rig/derig engines, and maintain thorough records. A strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance or related field.
• 3+ years of engine repair experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and drawings.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-test inspections of modules or engines for test.
• Rig and derig engines and modules for test.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and blueprints.
• Complete documentation and maintenance records with accuracy.
• Follow aviation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Work independently and with others to meet quality targets.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Identify and report defects or non-conformances.
