Job summary

MTU Maintenance Canada Ltd. is seeking a Component Mechanic in Delta, BC. This full-time role handles disassembly, inspection and repair of aeronautical components, following documented work plans and using precision test equipment.

Required is a Transport Canada apprenticeship, with at least one year in engine/component maintenance and familiarity with engines such as CF6-50/80, V2500, CFM56, CFM LEAP or PW2000; SAP and MS Office skills are expected.

Qualifications

  • Recognized apprenticeship to Transport Canada standards; international candidates must have a foreign aircraft mechanic/technician licence or an acceptable trade certificate.
  • At least one year of experience in engine or component maintenance, repair and overhaul processes.
  • Experience with at least one of CF6-50/80, V2500, CFM56, CFM LEAP, PW2000 engines.
  • Experience with Avionics/Electrical Harnesses (asset).
  • Experience with Balancing (asset) of compressors, shafts, etc.
  • Good knowledge of main standard inspection and repair processes used in engine repair.
  • Ability to work on computer systems; SAP knowledge expected.
