Job description

As a result of our continued growth, we are seeking candidates for the position of Tenant Support Representative located in our Guelph, Ontario office for a 12-month contract.

Job Description

The Tenant Support Representative is responsible for assisting the Tenant Support Supervisor in preparing legal documents for submission to the Residential Tenancy Tribunals across provinces, and following up directly on any other matters related to Residential Tenancy Tribunals applications. This position also provides administrative support to the Business Operations department.

What we look for:
  • Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act (RTA), Ontario Human Rights Code, and other applicable legislation.
  • An administrative expert with good database management skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with leasing/rental documents and lease negotiation principles.
  • Strong research, legal documentation, and file management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills, good judgment, and innovation. A forward-thinking attitude helps too.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with enthusiasm for working with tenants and the public.
  • Superior multi-tasking and organizational skills while remaining detail-oriented.
  • Diplomacy with the ability to respond firmly to assertive behavior.
  • Understanding of commercial property management or real estate is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of Yardi is an asset.
  • Ability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years post-secondary education or 3 years of equivalent workplace experience in customer service and administration.
  • Licensed Paralegal designation is a strong asset.
