Job summary

The Salvation Army Canada is seeking a Store Manager to lead a busy thrift store, ensuring profitability by implementing national standards in sales, service, merchandising, and donation flow. You will hire, train and supervise a diverse team of staff and volunteers, while maintaining health, safety, and compliance with OH&S policies.

Responsibilities include planning promotions, managing inventory, and preparing financial reports for regional offices.

Qualifications

• Completion of College Diploma in Business Retail Management or equivalent.
• Basic accounting skills required.
• First aid training or willingness to learn in-house.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Direct store operations to meet sales targets and control expenses while maintaining customer service standards.
• Hire, orientate, train, evaluate, recognize, discipline, and terminate based on standards.
• Manage health and safety, labour relations, and other related issues at store level.
• Plan store promotions, merchandising, and monitor marketing trends.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure donations are processed and priced.
• Prepare financial reports for National and Regional offices.
