The County of Elgin is seeking a Temporary Part-time Housekeeping/Laundry Aide for Elgin Manor, a 90-bed long-term care facility near St. Thomas, Ontario.
You will perform cleaning tasks across resident areas, washrooms and corridors, following safeguards and County procedures. We offer competitive pay of $27.11–$27.56 per hour under the collective agreement, plus 14% in lieu of benefits, 4% vacation pay, opportunities for OMERS pension enrollment, and a supportive benefits program.

Elgin Manor is a 90-bed long-term care facility situated in the Township of Southwold, just a few minutes outside of St. Thomas, Ontario. Each home area is equipped with recreation rooms, sitting areas, and television lounges to enhance programming, socialization, and visits from family and friends. Elgin Manor also features multiple outdoor garden patio areas and walkways in a tranquil rural setting, right in the heart of beautiful Elgin County.

Our Housekeeping/Laundry Aides perform cleaning operations designed to keep the Home in a clean, neat and tidy condition at all times and in accordance with established preventative maintenance and procedures. This includes, but is not limited to, dusting, mopping cleaning walls/floors/windows/doors, maintaining carpets, cleaning resident living corridors and washrooms, all while working in a manner and with the protective devices, measures and procedures required by the County of Elgin and the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
