Job summary

The County of Elgin invites applications for a Part-Time Personal Support Worker at Terrace Lodge, a 100-bed long-term care home in Malahide Township, Elgin County. Our team is dedicated to supporting residents’ dignity, safety and well-being through established routines.

Your responsibilities include personal care, meals, room upkeep, reporting health observations and contributing to care planning with empathy and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Personal Support Worker certificate program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Must be willing to further training/education of the Personal Support Worker field through in-services, etc.
• Proof of registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
• Familiarity with Health & Safety Procedures, Resident Bill of Rights, Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, Point Click Care.

• Tidying resident rooms and common areas

Terrace Lodge is a 100-bed long-term care home in the Township of Malahide. Our home is situated in beautiful Elgin County and features private and semi-private accommodation with 24-hour nursing care. Outdoor areas to relax with family, as well as living and dining areas, are available for resident enjoyment. A host of entertainment and recreational programs, animal-assisted therapy, spiritual care, and exercise programming are available.

About the Role:

As a certified Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our residents’ daily lives. You’ll be joining a dedicated care team that works collaboratively to support dignity, safety, and overall well-being through established job routines.

Your responsibilities include:
