Job summary

County of Elgin’s Terrace Lodge is seeking a Part-Time Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join a dedicated care team in Elgin County. You will provide compassionate assistance with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and safety while supporting residents’ dignity and well-being.

Qualified PSWs with a post-secondary certificate will contribute to a multi-disciplinary team. The role offers a competitive hourly wage under the collective agreement and flexible scheduling options via the Staff

Qualifications

• Completion of a Personal Support Worker certificate program from a recognized post-secondary institution.
• Willing to further training/education in the Personal Support Worker field through in-services, etc.
• Proof of registration with the Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA) preferred.
• Familiarity with Health & Safety Procedures, Resident Bill of Rights, Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021, Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care such as bathing, dressing, and transfers.
• Assisting with meals and nutrition support.
• Tidying resident rooms and common areas.
• Performing minor treatments and reporting health observations.
• Responding to call bells with attentiveness and empathy.
• Participating in care planning through daily reports.
• Supporting inclusive, respectful, and equitable care delivery.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Join the County of Elgin as a Part-Time Personal Support Worker at Terrace Lodge! Position Title: Personal Support Worker (PSW) Type: Part-time Compensation: $30.87-$31.30/hour as per collective agreement Vacancy: 1 existing vacancy

Terrace Lodge is a 100-bed long-term care home in the Township of Malahide. Our home is situated in beautiful Elgin County and features private and semi-private accommodation with 24-hour nursing care. Outdoor areas to relax with family, as well as living and dining areas, are available for resident enjoyment. A host of entertainment and recreational programs, animal-assisted therapy, spiritual care, and exercise programming are available.

About The Role

As a certified Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our residents’ daily lives. You’ll be joining a dedicated care team that works collaboratively to support dignity, safety, and overall well-being through established job routines.

Your Responsibilities Include

Conditions Of Employment
