Job summary

Kawartha Lakes is seeking a Facility Maintenance Operator II, Community Services (North) to support operations at Fenelon Falls and Bobcaygeon facilities.

The role includes ice resurfacing, general maintenance, cleaning, revenue collection, and other duties. Hours are up to 24 per week, including day, afternoon, evening and weekends from September to March.

Qualifications

• Experience in arenas/ice operations or willingness to learn.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Experience with preventive maintenance of various types of equipment preferred.
• Excellent customer-service, effective oral communication and strong interpersonal skills to deal with members of the public and staff.
• First Aid and CPR preferred.
• Possess and maintain a valid Ontario Class “G” Driver’s Licence.
• Upon a conditional offer of employment, an acceptable Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search, will be required.
