Job summary

Pembina Trails School Division is seeking a Temporary Assistant Caretaker to support the Facilities & Operations Department. The role involves cleaning, upkeep of the school facilities, and assisting the Head Caretaker. Evening shift from 3:00 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m. on school days, with an October 5, 2026 start date and a finish date TBD until the incumbent returns. Candidate should have Grade 12 or equivalent, custodial experience preferred, and be able to lift 20 kg.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing and verbal skills in English are essential.
• Institutional custodial experience is desired.
• Must operate cleaning equipment such as polishers and auto scrubbers.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness of the facility by cleaning, dusting and sanitizing targeted areas.
• Maintains custodial equipment and supplies, reporting malfunctions.
• Provides orientation to replacement staff and manages keys.
• Performs related duties including security checks and assisting with events.
