Job summary

GN Systems Inc. in Brampton, Ontario, is seeking a permanent full-time Telecommunications Technician to install, inspect, and repair cabling and equipment outdoors, at heights, across various sites.

The role offers an hourly wage of CAD 36.50 with health benefits and opportunities to work on aerial and underground transmission systems. Start date as soon as possible; on-site work only; valid driver's licence required.

Qualifications

• Education: College or CEGEP diploma from a program 1–2 years.
• Experience: Experience an asset.
• Work Location: On site; no remote option.
• Work Environment: Outdoors, at heights.
• Security: Criminal record check.
• Transportation: Valid driver’s licence; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and test cable signals and equipment.
• Repair cable signals.
• Diagnose and locate faults; repair telecommunications equipment.
• Complete and maintain test and service reports.
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other structures.
• Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems.
• Repair or replace faulty cables, power supplies and amplifiers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems.
