Job summary

PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton is seeking a Technology Analyst Student for an 8-month role starting January 2027. You will contribute to provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, while assisting with governance and R&D initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a MIS/IT/CE/Operations Management program.
• Interest in latest technology trends and cloud infrastructure.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a team.
• Willingness to learn programming or scripting languages (PowerShell/.NET).
• Knowledge of Azure or Microsoft 365 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining mission-critical cloud infrastructure
• Remediate incident escalations from customers, vendors, and other Business Technology teams
• Assists in the development and maintaining of policies and governance in our cloud infrastructure
• Assists with Research and Development initiatives and participate in Proof-of-Concepts
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date system documentation
• Supports the team in providing business process, application requirements definition, and documentation for a given project
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What you will bring to the role:

• Currently enrolled in a management information systems program, an information technology or computer engineering program, or an operations management program
• Always on top of the latest technology trends
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
• Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting best practices is an asset
• Ability & willingness to learn programming or scripting languages, such as PowerShell or .NET, to accomplish the completion of one or more automation tasks
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 is an asset
