Job summary

PCL Constructors Inc. is seeking a Technology Analyst Student in Edmonton, Alberta, for an eight‑month program beginning January 2027. You will contribute to provisioning, monitoring, and improving our cloud infrastructure while gaining exposure to governance and automation tasks.

You will work in a fast-paced, team‑oriented environment, applying analytical and communication skills to resolve incidents and document processes. This paid student position supports growth in IT and cloud disciplines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing degree in MIS, IT, computer engineering or operations management.
• Demonstrated analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Interest in cloud infrastructure and automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining cloud infrastructure.
• Remediate incident escalations from customers and teams.
• Assist in policy and governance development for cloud systems.
• Support R&D initiatives and participate in proofs-of-concept.
• Maintain accurate system documentation and project artifacts.
• Support business process requirements and documentation for projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an Technology Analyst Student in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 8 months starting in January, 2027. As an Technology Analyst Student you will contribute to our team by:

• Assists in provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining mission-critical cloud infrastructure
• Remediate incident escalations from customers, vendors, and other Business Technology teams
• Assists in the development and maintaining of policies and governance in our cloud infrastructure
• Assists with Research and Development initiatives and participate in Proof-of-Concepts
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date system documentation
• Supports the team in providing business process, application requirements definition, and documentation for a given project
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Currently enrolled in a management information systems program, an information technology or computer engineering program, or an operations management program
• Always on top of the latest technology trends
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to details
• Knowledge of PowerShell and scripting best practices is an asset
• Ability & willingness to learn programming or scripting languages, such as PowerShell or .NET, to accomplish the completion of one or more automation tasks
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 is an asset
