Job summary

PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton seeks a seasoned Technical Solutions Analyst to optimize time entry, payroll and business processes. You will gather requirements, run workshops, craft intuitive UI designs with Figma, and manage backlogs in Azure DevOps while ensuring user adoption and training across teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and practical experience with custom software design, software implementations, SDLC methodologies, business process re-engineering, and organizational change management
• Post‑secondary education in information systems, information technology, computing science, engineering or a related field is required
• Minimum of 5 years of business analysis experience is required
• Experience using Figma (or equivalent) to create and validate user interface designs is considered an asset
• Experience using Azure DevOps or similar work tracking systems to manage user stories, backlogs, and development activities
• Comfortable working with high profile, aggressive project schedules
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Able to develop creative solutions to meet customer needs for company‑wide processes and software
• Demonstrated relationship building skills with diverse stakeholder groups

Responsibilities

• Understand Time Entry and Payroll systems requirements, strategies, best practices, processes and business outcomes
• Gather, document and validate business system user requirements
• Lead workshops and build consensus with stakeholders and subject matter experts across multiple business units
• Design intuitive user experiences and software features using wireframes and mockups, and collaborate with stakeholders to validate solutions that support business processes and drive user adoption
• Create and manage product backlogs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and development work items using Azure DevOps
• Coordinate User Acceptance Testing, track issues, and obtain user signoff
• Develop training materials
• Conduct training rollouts to internal client groups
• Create and execute change management plans to drive acceptance, adoption, minimize resistance, and maximize engagement and efficiencies
• Provide robust, customer centric support to all users
• Continuous learning of industry best practices
• Use AI to ensure all responsibilities listed above are done as efficiently as possible
