Hamilton Health Sciences is seeking a Registered X-Ray Technologist to join their multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role involves coordinating and performing diagnostic examinations while providing patient care aligned with HHS core values. Located in Hamilton’s downtown core, Hamilton General Hospital provides leading-edge care and hosts regional referral programs. Our neurosciences and trauma program is a provincial leader in volume and complexity. The HGH stroke program has pioneered an integrated approach to care, and our burn treatment program is one of only two in Ontario. The cardiac and vascular program performs more heart surgeries and procedures than any other facility in the province.
Our Diagnostic Services team supports a high volume of diverse adult and pediatric patients and families, providing services 24/7. Diagnostic Services at HHS includes X-ray, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology.
As a member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, the Registered X-Ray Technologist coordinates, performs, and evaluates Diagnostic Services examinations, guiding clinical and technical associates and students in a teaching and research environment. Our technologists provide patient care aligned with HHS core values of respect, caring, innovation, and accountability.
X-Ray Technologists at Hamilton General Hospital work with state-of-the-art equipment, including the Operating Room O-Arm. They receive comprehensive orientation and training opportunities in other areas such as CT. Technologists collaborate closely with ED, trauma, and OR teams to ensure seamless patient care. Rotation through other modalities and sites may be required based on qualifications and unit needs.
As a condition of employment, proof of full COVID-19 vaccination must be submitted to Employee Health Services.
