Job summary

Sandvik is inviting applications for a Technician Development Manager in Canada. You will screen candidates, lead interviews, and develop practical assessments to gauge trade knowledge, safety, and problem-solving abilities.

You will partner with Operations, HR, and Training to forecast workforce needs and sustain a robust talent pipeline. Leverage a Red Seal, bilingual English/French, and proven leadership to drive recruitment excellence.

Qualifications

Red Seal certification with field/workshop experience in heavy equipment/mining/industrial environments.
Leadership or managerial experience within technical settings.
Bilingual in English and French with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Screen candidates, interview, conduct technical testing, and provide hiring recommendations.
Partner with Operations, HR, Training, and SMEs to identify workforce needs and maintain a strong talent pipeline.
Conduct behavioural and technical interviews, verify certifications and experience, and provide objective recommendations.
Build relationships with industry partners and communities to attract skilled talent and pursue sourcing opportunities.
Develop feedback loops to evaluate hiring effectiveness.
