Job summary

Scarlet Security & Risk Group in Burnaby, BC is seeking experienced Security Alarm Technicians to install, service and troubleshoot commercial intrusion alarm systems. You will work on ULC installations and monitoring, tackling diagnostic challenges with precision.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in commercial security, a BC Security Worker Licence or Alarm Installer qualification, and a valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and installing commercial security alarm systems.
• Strong knowledge of intrusion alarm systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience performing ULC inspections and working with ULC-listed monitored systems.
• Valid BC Security Worker Licence and/or applicable Security Alarm Installer qualification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, and work at heights.
• Willingness to work indoors or outdoors, including construction environments, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to participate in after-hours/on-call service as required.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum 3 years of experience servicing and installing commercial security alarm systems
• Strong knowledge of intrusion alarm systems and alarm monitoring

• Experience programming commercial alarm panels
• Understanding of low-voltage wiring, relays, power supplies and supervised circuits
• Basic IP networking knowledge
• Valid BC Security Worker Licence and/or applicable Security Alarm Installer qualification
• Valid driver’s licence
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb, and work at heights
• Willingness to work indoors or outdoors, including construction environments, and in confined spaces
• Ability to participate in after-hours/on-call service as required
