Position Overview

We are seeking an intermediate-to-senior Content Writer specializing in technical translation and documentation framework design. In this role, you will act as the bridge between enterprise architecture/engineering teams and key business stakeholders. You will extract dense technical knowledge, build repeatable documentation processes, and simplify complex systems into clear, actionable, executive-ready content and visual assets.

Key Responsibilities

Documentation Process & Framework Setup

• Establish, standardize, and maintain an enterprise-wide documentation framework and governance model.
• Build repeatable templates, intake processes, and clear workflows for capturing technical knowledge from engineering and architecture teams.
• Define style guides, documentation lifecycle policies, and single-source-of-truth repositories (e.g., Confluence, Notion, SharePoint).

Technical Translation & Simplification

• Work alongside software engineers and solutions/enterprise architects to extract complex technical concepts (e.g., platforms, API integrations, cloud architecture).
• Distill dense architectural blueprints and technical specs into clear, jargon-free business documentation, process maps, and executive summaries.
• Create visual diagrams (using Lucidchart, Miro, or Visio) to illustrate system interactions and data flows for non-technical audiences.

Stakeholder Management & Presentation

• Prepare and present technical summaries, onboarding decks, and transition documents to business stakeholders, product managers, and leadership.
• Facilitate walkthroughs and feedback sessions with business units (e.g., Risk, Compliance, Operations) to align technical docs with business requirements.
• Translate technical risks, system updates, and architecture changes into clear business impact assessments.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 5+years as a Content Writer, Technical Communications Specialist, or Knowledge Manager in a complex enterprise software environment (Insurance or Financial Services experience preferred).
• Technical Translation: Proven track record of digesting complex cloud, software, or data architecture concepts and rendering them into clear, simple content.
• Diagramming & Visualization: Proficiency with visual documentation tools such as Lucidchart, Draw.io, Visio, or Miro to build architecture maps and data flows.
• Documentation Platforms: Mastery of tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, or Markdown.
• Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional interpersonal skills to efficiently extract insights from time-constrained engineers and present confidently to leadership.
• Domain Knowledge: Background in core insurance or financial workflows (e.g., claims processing, underwriting, policy administration) is a strong asset.
