We have an excellent 6 months contract opportunity for a Technical Writer in Ottawa.
Remote for now.

Must haves:

1. Eligible for Reliability level Federal Security clearance is mandatory.
2. Experience developing thought-provoking visuals supporting communications of technology roadmaps, access to visual material (free of copyright) to create visualizations.
3. Strong communication skills and experience delivering material to executive stakeholders, strong written skills in English, strong understanding of technology and the ability to synthesize concepts into business language, proven experience delivering marketing material.
4. Exposure to TOGAF and other architectural frameworks, architecture governance and architectural documentation.

SCOPE:
The HM is looking for someone who can present complex technical processes and design them in a visual way. The focus really has to be put on the capacity to create a visual design of the technical process.

DUTIES:
As a Storyteller/Technical Writer, you will work with enterprise architects to extract the business value chain from the technical architecture using visual customer journeys and persona-based experience. The impact of your work will help the executive team and sponsors understand the value of our investment in architecture principles, standards, and platform development to support organizational need. You will use your creative capabilities to visualize architecture through a business value chain. You will work directly with our architects and business stakeholders to align on messaging and priorities and ideally participate in the influencer role using business-friendly language.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Must Have:

1. Experience developing thought-provoking visuals supporting communications of technology roadmaps.
2. Access to visual material (free of copyright) to create visualizations.
3. Strong communication skills and experience delivering material to executive stakeholders.
4. Strong written skills in English.
5. Strong understanding of technology and the ability to synthesize concepts into business language.
6. Proven experience delivering marketing material.

Remote for now. Hiring Manager is located in Ottawa March Road. Hiring Manager is ok to receive candidates from both Ottawa and Toronto areas. Selected contractor may have to go to Ottawa on occasions.
