Job summary

Finning Canada is seeking a Mining Technology Engineer to support Caterpillar MineStar and autonomous mining technologies across Western Canada. Based in Edmonton, you will collaborate with customers to maximize performance, reliability, and uptime of technology systems.

You will troubleshoot software, hardware, networking, GPS/GNSS, and fleet management systems while working closely with customers to minimize downtime and boost productivity. Travel across Western Canada is required.

Responsibilities

• Support Caterpillar MineStar and autonomous mining technologies to maximize performance, reliability, and availability of systems.
• Troubleshoot software, hardware, networking, GPS/GNSS, and fleet management systems.

• Support autonomous mining solutions with multidisciplinary teams.
• Assist with technology implementations, upgrades, and project delivery.
• Create documentation, best practices, and handovers.

Job Description

• Supporting Caterpillar® MineStar®, and autonomous mining technologies while helping customers maximize the performance, reliability, and availability of their technology systems.
• Troubleshooting software, hardware, networking, GPS/GNSS, and fleet management systems
