World Star Tech is a leading manufacturer of laser systems for biomedical, instrumentation, machine vision, and other industrial applications. Located in Markham, ON, in a modern facility, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and resourceful Technical Sales Specialist to join our growing organization.

This role involves managing all pre-sales and post-sales activities, maintaining close communication with customers throughout the sales cycle.

What do we expect from you?

As our Technical Sales Specialist, your primary goal is to drive revenue by positioning World Star Tech’s products as the optimal solution for our customers' success.

  • Eager to learn
  • Conduct preliminary research on potential clients to enhance sales effectiveness
  • Develop new sales opportunities through various marketing channels
  • Analyze target markets, identify prospective businesses, and establish sales relationships
  • Convert prospects into sales
  • Assist with media and marketing activities, including writing technical articles, newsletters, and blog posts
  • Deliver sales presentations and product training to customers and distributors
  • Work closely with our engineering team to offer customized solutions
  • Provide quotations and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and specifications are met
  • Offer technical support to customers
  • Other duties as assigned

What are we looking for?

  • BSc degree in a technical discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in technical sales
  • Ability and willingness to travel
  • Sales-minded, enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible
  • Motivated self-starter and team player
  • Strong understanding of target markets, industry, and key projects
  • Ability to translate client requirements into business solutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive and independent worker
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident
