Job summary

Sterling Fleet Outfitters in Surrey, BC is seeking a results-focused Sales & Project Coordinator to join our team. You’ll meet with customers, design vehicle layouts, create estimates, and manage project documentation to ensure on-time delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong face-to-face sales skills, excellent communication, and the ability to juggle multiple projects. On-site in Surrey, hours Mon-Fri 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with competitive pay and bonus eligibility after probation.

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers in person, by phone, and by email to understand their vehicle and equipment requirements.
• Conduct customer discovery conversations and recommend practical upfit solutions.
• Design vehicle layouts and equipment packages based on customer workflows and applications.
• Create estimates, quotations, proposals, and project costings.
• Develop technical solutions involving storage systems, accessories, lighting, power systems, and other vehicle equipment.
• Identify mechanical, electrical, and installation requirements for upfit projects.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Production, and Installation teams to ensure successful project completion.
• Convert customer requirements into complete project documentation, orders, and work instructions.
• Maintain accurate customer and project information in company systems.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales and project process.

What You'll Do

Technical Experience

• Strong automotive and mechanical aptitude
• Experience working with commercial vehicles, vehicle accessories, fleet equipment, or related industries
• Ability to design practical vehicle layouts and equipment solutions
• Understanding of installation requirements and vehicle upfit processes
• Experience with:
  • 12V electrical systems
  • 120V power systems
  • Batteries, inverters, lighting, and auxiliary power systems
• CAD, design, layout, or technical drawing experience is considered a strong asset
• Hands-on experience with vehicle accessories, installations, mechanical work, or related trades is highly desirable

Software & Business Skills

• Microsoft Excel

• Estimating, project costing, pricing, markup, and gross margin calculations

You’ll be comfortable meeting directly with customers, designing vehicle layouts, creating accurate quotations, and developing practical technical solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong sales ability, technical knowledge, computer skills, and hands-on vehicle experience to help customers select the right equipment and ensure projects are completed successfully.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
