Job summary

Open Connection in Nanaimo is seeking a sales specialist to join our urban retail team. You will estimate installation costs, manage orders, and promote products to existing clients.

The role requires 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, on-site work, and strong communication. You will identify new clients, assess client needs, prepare contracts, and provide ongoing post-sale support in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Estimate costs of installing equipment
• Oversee the preparation of sales and orders
• Promote sales to existing clients
• Identify and solicit potential clients
• Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
• Conduct sales transactions
• Prepare and administer sales contracts
• Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates
• Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client's needs
• Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
• Reach to clients after sale or signed contracts to provide ongoing support
• Review and adapt information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions
• Provide clients with presentations on the benefits and uses of goods or services
• Resolve product and service related problems
• Troubleshoot problems related to equipment
• Advertise and/or promote products, sales or services
• Supervise activities of other technical sales specialists
