Description

Dycor Technologies is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Outside Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team in Edmonton, AB.

Reporting to the General Manager, this position will be responsible for selling products manufactured and distributed by Dycor, such as wireless data products, data acquisition and sensor products, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), integrated panels for general purpose and hazardous locations, and custom-designed solutions. The role involves evaluating and developing new business opportunities for Dycor.

Work Conditions:

Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new customers across Western Canada, focusing on the commercial, municipal, oil and gas sectors, and other markets.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with existing clients.
  • Assess customer needs and recommend cost-effective, off-the-shelf or customized solutions related to data acquisition, control, sensors, and wireless communication products and services.
  • Suggest product improvements and contribute to development strategies to enhance market penetration.
  • Develop marketing strategies with KPIs to expand our customer base and market share.
  • Participate in budgeting and planning processes.
  • Coordinate with Engineering to ensure customer expectations are met.
  • Source additional products or recommend custom development to diversify Dycor’s offerings.
  • Support creation and updates of marketing materials, both print and online.
  • Provide technical support to customers as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years' direct sales experience in an industrial or technical environment, preferably within municipal, commercial, or oil and gas industries.
  • Ability to travel regularly within Western Canada.
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector is a strong asset.
  • Technical knowledge of wireless data communications and data acquisition systems is an asset.
  • Diploma or certificate in electrical, electronic, or instrumentation technology is an asset.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, RTUs, flow computers, and host systems is an asset.
  • Understanding of telemetry, communication protocols, and data integration techniques is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Self-motivated with good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
