Job summary

National Cable Specialists in Edmonton is seeking an Account Manager to expand the national account base, answer technical questions, process orders, and build lasting client relationships. You will research new business opportunities, price quotations, and provide basic product support to contribute to the company’s growth in the energy and electrical distribution sector.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Previous Sales/Inside Sales experience is highly beneficial.
• Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to develop long-term client relationships.
• A highly professional approach to business.
• Technically proficient to quickly learn and understand products.
• Ability to develop quotations & project bid packaging / pricing / presentations
• Knowledge of electrical industry in general is an asset
• Willingness to work overtime as needed and a sense of team spirit

Responsibilities

• Contacts current and prospective clients to identify their need for existing and/or new products
• Responds to and processes incoming calls and orders
• Opens new accounts and maintains existing customer base
• Enters orders into system and liaises with operations and purchasing teams through the process
• Maintains knowledge base on current products and learns about new products
• Provides pricing quotations and follows-up on quotes
• Provides basic technical support on products
• Builds strong relationships for repeat opportunities
