Job summary

Summit Search Group is assisting a leading provider of environmental and geotechnical consulting solutions in Edmonton in finding a driven Account Manager. This hybrid role combines office work with occasional travel to customer sites and focuses on growing assigned accounts in Environmental, Geotechnical, and multidisciplinary sectors.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in inside sales, account management, or customer service roles.
  • Order desk responsibilities valued.
  • Background in technical environmental/geotechnical markets is a plus.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics) and opportunity pipeline management.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer inquiries, quotes, technical questions, and order updates.
  • Manage the full customer lifecycle, from proactive sales activities and territory planning to opportunity development and customer reviews.
  • Actively grow customer wallet share and identify new opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with market strategy.
  • Ensure accuracy and professionalism in all customer interactions, quotes, and CRM logging.
  • Provide support for rental equipment coordination, stock availability, lead times, and logistical options.
  • Execute sales activities via phone, email, virtual meetings, and on-site visits.
  • Support product application, selection, and configuration in collaboration with technical specialists.

Job description

Our client is a leader in multi-dimensional product and manufacturing solutions, seeking a driven and customer-focused Account Manager to join their growing team in Edmonton. This hybrid role is primarily based in their office, with occasional travel to customer sites. You will be instrumental in managing and expanding assigned accounts within the Environmental, Geotechnical, and Multi-Disciplinary Consulting sectors, driving revenue growth, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day customer inquiries, quotes, technical questions, and order updates.
  • Manage the full customer lifecycle, from proactive sales activities and territory planning to opportunity development and customer reviews.
  • Actively grow customer wallet share and identify new opportunities within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with market strategy.
  • Ensure accuracy and professionalism in all customer interactions, quotes, and CRM logging.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in inside sales, application sales, account management, or customer service roles.
  • Prior experience with order desk responsibilities is highly valued.
  • Background in technical, instrumentation, electrical, environmental, or drilling-related markets is a significant asset.
  • Strong understanding of consulting markets (Environmental, Geotechnical, etc) an asset.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Dynamics) and opportunity pipeline management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance proactive sales with reactive customer support.
  • Post-secondary education in business, environmental sciences, or a related technical field is a definite plus.

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $60,000-$70,000, along with a variable quarterly bonus, appropriate expenses, and a full benefits program including RRSP matching.
