Job summary

Everforth Apex is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter / Sourcer to support hiring for Software Development Engineer roles across high-growth technology teams in Vancouver. This 12-month contract role focuses on identifying, engaging, and assessing top technical talent while building strong pipelines for specialized engineering positions.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting or sourcing technical talent, particularly Software Development Engineers or related engineering roles.
• Proven success building pipelines and engaging passive technical candidates.
• Experience using sourcing and recruiting tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search methodologies, ATS platforms, and CRM systems.
• Strong stakeholder management and consultative communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively manage competing priorities.
• Demonstrated business acumen and sound decision-making skills.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume recruiting environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Track record of delivering results while maintaining a high quality bar.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain talent pipelines for Software Development Engineer and related technical positions.
• Source and engage passive candidates using advanced sourcing techniques, including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, talent communities, and other innovative channels.
• Conduct initial candidate screens to evaluate technical background, experience, motivation, and role alignment.
• Partner closely with hiring managers and recruiting stakeholders to understand hiring needs, calibrate candidate profiles, and refine search strategies.
• Develop creative sourcing approaches for difficult-to-fill technical positions and continuously test new methods to improve results.
• Maintain consistent candidate engagement and deliver a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
• Provide market intelligence on talent availability, competitive hiring trends, and sourcing effectiveness.
• Manage multiple requisitions simultaneously while maintaining quality, speed, and stakeholder communication.
• Track sourcing activity, pipeline health, and recruiting metrics within recruiting systems and tools.
• Uphold high standards of candidate quality while operating with urgency and a strong sense of ownership.
