This is a leadership role where you will own the technology, maintenance, process, and setting for the equipment for the line. You will possess deep expertise and will be viewed as the technology expert of the line/s.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Partner & enable the line leader(s) to deliver the SQCDSM targets—Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability & Morale for the lines, to ensure process stability; participate in the DMS- Daily Management Systems meetings at the shift and line level.
  • Own the technology and process and centerline settings for the equipment and process, with deep technical mastery; own the Progressive Maintenance systems and work processes, and the KPIs for the line/s along with Centerline Management systems; own the Repairs & Maintenance budget of the line.
  • Develop, own, and execute the line/s preventive and time-based maintenance systems and plans; build the capability of the team to execute these independently; spend at least 50% of time on technical and maintenance skills development of technicians; be part of the PM Pillar, own all PM systems, and lead some at the department level.
  • Partner with the Asset and Reliability team for system improvements and special maintenance tasks; be responsible for Change Management, localization of spares, breakdown analysis, and R&M cost reduction; represent the department/line as the site technology owner in regional and global forums.
  • Assist in VSU initiatives, support benchmarking, and be a subject matter expert on component categories; train others on PM subjects for the plant.

More about this role

We’re looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to support a unionized trades team, ensuring equipment safety and efficiency, and maintaining production schedules. You’ll be the technical go-to on your shift for troubleshooting and team support.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead, coach, and support maintenance technicians on a continental shift.
  • Coordinate with operators and departments to keep production on track.
  • Ensure timely completion of planned maintenance and troubleshoot breakdowns.
  • Prioritize safety, food safety, and quality.
  • Manage work orders, support continuous improvement, and maintain documentation and spare parts.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and a respectful culture.

What You Bring:

  • Licensed trade (Millwright, Electrician, or similar) or equivalent technical background.
  • 5+ years in maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing or a unionized environment.
  • 1–2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
  • Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
  • Effective communication and collaborative leadership style.
  • Experience with CMMS and maintenance planning tools.
  • Familiarity with Lean, TPM, or continuous improvement is a plus.
