Here's what we're looking for

We’re on the hunt for a Technical Business Analyst who will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions in the credit card payment processing space. Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing transaction flows, ensuring seamless authorization and settlement processes, and driving operational improvements in payment systems.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, and Technology to translate business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications. Your insights will help optimize payment workflows, enhance compliance with industry regulations, and support the continuous evolution of our payment platform.

Your daily responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements for credit card payment processing, including transaction flows, authorization, settlement, and reconciliation;
• Work closely with stakeholders to define and document technical requirements, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards;
• Conduct in-depth research on market trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies related to payments and credit cards;
• Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications to guide development teams;
• Collaborate with developers to ensure proper understanding and implementation of technical requirements;
• Work alongside QA engineers to develop test plans and participate in testing to ensure system reliability;
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical challenges during development and implementation;
• Regularly review existing payment processes to identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements;
• Stay up to date with industry best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the payment platform.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred;
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst;
• Minimum 2 years of experience in financial products, with a focus on credit cards, payments, or loans;
• Strong knowledge of the credit card industry, particularly on the issuing side;
• Expertise in payment processing platforms, credit card networks, and industry standards like PCI-DSS, EMV, ISO 8583;
• Proven ability to gather, document, and translate complex technical requirements into functional specifications;
• Strong understanding of modern software development technologies, particularly RESTful APIs and SaaS solutions;
• Experience working with agile methodologies, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment;
• Proficient in JIRA, Confluence, and other collaboration tools for documentation and communication;
• Ability to work cross-functionally with teams in Operations, Finance, and Development;
