Job summary

IBM Canada in Toronto is seeking an Entry-Level Technical Engineering Seller to blend technical problem solving with business consulting. You will work with clients and IBM technical experts to design, demonstrate, and deliver AI, hybrid cloud, automation, data, and security solutions.

The role focuses on translating complex concepts into clear business value for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, supporting adoption, and helping clients realize measurable outcomes from IBM

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled as undergraduate or graduate student.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Cybersecurity, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field.
• Foundational knowledge of cloud computing, software development, AI, automation, data, or cybersecurity.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Java, JavaScript, C++, or similar.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to prototype, build, or troubleshoot applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for technology and client success.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client discovery to understand objectives, requirements, and success criteria.
• Design and validate technical solution approaches addressing customer challenges across IBM offerings.
• Build and deliver demonstrations, proofs of concept, workshops, and presentations.
• Translate technical concepts into clear business value for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support client adoption, expansion, and success by identifying use cases and deployment considerations.
• Collaborate with sales, technical specialists, customer success, and partners to progress opportunities.
• Contribute innovative ideas and best practices to accelerate client success and solution adoption.
