Team Leader - Mixer/Scaler

Summary

Reporting to the Shift Leader and Operations Leader, the Mixing Leader will provide hands-on leadership on a production shift within the plant to ensure production schedules are met safely and on time within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among team members.
• Conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback to team members.
• Lead, coach, mentor, and train team members.
• Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing standards and conducting regular inspections.
• Oversee receipt and warehousing of incoming ingredients.
• Ensure OMS procedures are followed, including entering inventory into the system.
• Assist planning team with managing inventory levels.
• Maintain cleanliness of the scaling area and tools.
• Provide orientation and training to ensure an effective workforce.
• Combine raw materials in the proper sequence as per the Batch Sheet.
• Follow GMPs and safety procedures outlined by FGF.
• Verify that all batches are produced during your shift.
• Ensure team members receive breaks and proper coverage during each break.
• Perform other duties as required.

Required Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food production.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Attention to detail and ability to detect quality issues.
• Good communication skills and basic mathematical abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Physically capable of performing the role's demands, including moving objects up to 40 kg.
• Flexibility to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends as needed.
