Job description

Logoplaste is currently seeking a Team Leader to join our plant team in Ontario, CA (USA).

The Team Lead supports the operation and assigned department(s), coordinating activities within their scope and setting priorities to meet business goals. This role is hands-on, with responsibilities including performing duties of an operator or forklift driver as needed.

Key Tasks & Activities
  1. Support the direction set by the manager.
  2. Ensure a safe environment for all production employees, visitors, and temporary labor.
  3. Provide regular safety training to all employees per the safety training program.
  4. Ensure proper PPE and safety equipment are worn by employees and visitors.
  5. Monitor the production floor and equipment for unsafe conditions, report immediately, and take corrective actions.
  6. Provide immediate medical attention for accidents and conduct prompt investigations.
  7. Maintain product quality by ensuring quality checks are completed and products meet specifications.
  8. Train employees to identify products for rejection or rework.
  9. Communicate non-conforming products to appropriate managers for disposition.
  10. Maintain a clean production environment and equipment, performing daily audits and cleaning tasks.
  11. Achieve maximum production efficiency, monitor machine processes, and record changes.
  12. Monitor and improve production floor efficiencies to meet or exceed OEE standards.
  13. Perform shift inventories and record production data.
  14. Address inefficiencies proactively and communicate with maintenance.
  15. Enforce company policies and monitor shift personnel activities.
  16. Maintain employee relations and records, including attendance and leave requests.
  17. Conduct shift meetings and document discussions.
  18. Participate in TPM events and continuous improvement initiatives.
  19. Assist with product trials, mold changes, and setups.
  20. Provide input on performance evaluations and corrective actions.
  21. Optimize losses related to vision and unforeseen stoppages.
  22. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Background and Experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in a leadership role.
  • Industry experience preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Strong mechanical knowledge preferred.
  • Working knowledge of computer systems.
  • Knowledge of quality systems.
Interpersonal Skills
  • Effective team coordination and supervision skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Meeting deadlines, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Results-driven with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Accountability, self-motivation, and focus on business improvement.
